Lot 415:
An Etched Glass Goblet Commemorating the Mary Rose
Description
A single crystal goblet featuring a rounded bowl, a multi-faceted knop stem, and a plain circular foot. The bowl is decorated with a detailed etching of a three-masted sailing vessel in full sail, representing a Tudor warship. To the right of the vessel is an etched inscription in uppercase serif characters reading MARY ROSE and below that the dates 1510-1545. The glass is clear with a polished finish to the faceted stem. While the web intelligence suggests a Bohemia Crystal manufacture, there are no readable maker marks, signatures, or labels on the glass to confirm this attribution.
