Royal Worcester Sweet Forget Me Not Bone China Figurine
Description
A British-made fine bone china figurine titled Sweet Forget Me Not, produced by Royal Worcester as a limited edition for Compton & Woodhouse in 1995. The figure is modelled in an 18th-century style, wearing a wide-brimmed hat decorated with pink and blue flowers. The bodice is glazed in blue with white ruffled trim, leading to a voluminous white skirt decorated with blue floral sprigs and a large blue sash tied at the waist. The figure holds a small bouquet in her right hand. The underside of the base features a circular black printed mark containing a crown symbol and a W logo surrounded by the words ROYAL WORCESTER, above the text FINE BONE CHINA. Below this, a printed inscription reads Sweet Forget Me Not A hand-numbered limited edition figurine of 9,500 of which this is No. 1153. A printed script signature follows, and the base is finished with the copyright text Compton & Woodhouse 1995. The lot is accompanied by a cream-coloured paper certificate of authenticity bearing the Royal Worcester and Compton & Woodhouse names and logos.
