An Assortment of Seven Miniature and Small-Scale Ceramic Vessels
Description
A collection of seven miniature and small-scale ceramic items featuring various forms, glazes, and decorative techniques. The group includes an earthenware loving cup with two C-scroll handles, finished in a cream glaze and decorated with polychrome transfer-printed floral sprays of ferns and berries. A larger, dark brown glazed stoneware jug is included, featuring a pinched spout and a simple loop handle with a slightly metallic finish. The set also contains a small cylindrical stoneware mug with a single loop handle in a speckled olive-brown glaze, and a miniature bulbous pitcher with a buff-coloured neck and handle, decorated with a hand-painted landscape scene in earth tones. A blue-glazed creamer features a white interior and a band of stylized floral motifs around the rim. The collection is completed by a miniature bulbous bottle with a vibrant red sang de boeuf type glaze and a small cork stopper, and a small vessel with an out-turned rim featuring a dark brown and amber-toned drip glaze. No maker’s marks, signatures, or factory stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces of these items.
