Description
A large collection of vintage beverage coasters, primarily made of absorbent pulpboard, presented both loosely on a surface and stored within a plain brown cardboard box. The coasters feature diverse designs, predominantly advertising various alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including brands such as Guinness, Babycham, Amstel, Whitbread, Strongbow, Löwenbräu, Colt 45, Dry Dubonnet, and Britvic. Many display iconic vintage advertising artwork and slogans, including “A Passion for Fashion” and “HEY BIG SPENDER, SPEND A LITTLE ON A Pony.” Some coasters include foreign text such as “DIT IS DE MAN” and “DIT IS Z’N BIER, ” indicating a Dutch market presence. One coaster explicitly dates a “Glenfiddich Haggis Hunt” to Jan-June 1978.
