Description
An English William IV four-poster tester bed, constructed from a dark, polished hardwood, likely mahogany, displaying a prominent grain. The frame features substantial turned and fluted posts adorned with carved decorative elements, including scrollwork and finials, supporting a full fabric canopy. The headboard presents a solid panel with a central carved motif and a molded top rail, while the footboard is a simpler solid panel. The canopy, valances, and side curtains are fashioned from a gold-toned damask or jacquard pattern fabric, accented with fringe and tassels.
