Description
This collection consists of several Asian-themed decorative objects and souvenirs. The lot includes an architectural model of the Jin Mao Tower in Shanghai, constructed from etched clear glass or acrylic on a rectangular base. The base features a silver-toned label with the characters 金 茂 大 厦 and the English text JIN MAO TOWER. The collection includes an assortment of porcelain cups, featuring larger cups in the Wan Shou Wu Jiang style with red enameled grounds, floral scrolls, and white circular medallions containing the character 壽 (shou) for longevity. Smaller white glazed porcelain cups are also included, characterized by flared rims, tall feet, and blue underglaze marks on the exterior. Also present is a group of molded reddish-brown resin figurines depicting the deity Ganesha in various seated poses. The lot is completed by a pair of chopsticks made of dark polished wood with gold-toned metal caps and a red fabric sleeve decorated with a gold-colored geometric key-fret pattern.
Condition report:
The items generally show surface dust and grime consistent with age and display. The architectural model base exhibits minor grime. The porcelain cups show minor staining from use. The resin figurines have significant dust accumulation in the recessed areas of the molding. The fabric sleeve for the chopsticks shows minor fraying at the opening.
