Description
A framed 18th-century engraved map depicting the „BIRMAN EMPIRE“ and surrounding areas including the „BAY OF BENGAL,“ „MOUTHS OF THE GANGES,“ and „GULF OF MARTABAN.“ Executed in a monochromatic style with a sepia tone, the map details topography, place names, and latitude/longitude coordinates. It is presented under glass, within a wide off-white mat, and enclosed by a decorative gilded wooden frame. The visible text is predominantly in English, with „BIRMAN EMPIRE“ being a prominent title, historically referring to Burma or Myanmar.
