Description
A Victorian carved oak umbrella and stick stand, executed in a Jacobean or Gothic Revival style, featuring elaborate ornamentation. The central crest is dominated by a deeply carved grotesque lion-like mask, flanked by scrolling acanthus foliage and smaller grotesque heads on the upper corners. The stand provides two apertures at the top for holding items and two rectangular metal drip trays in the lower section.
Condition report:
Good antique condition. Commensurate with age and use, exhibiting an aged patina, visible wear, and surface abrasions. Structurally sound.
