Description
A British First World War 1914-15 Star medal, awarded to SJT W H Williams of the Gloucester Regiment. The medal is crafted from a gold-colored base metal, likely bronze or brass, and features a four-pointed star design. It is overlaid with crossed swords and surmounted by a crown, with a central roundel displaying a banner embossed with „1914-15“ and a small „V“ at its base, encircled by a laurel wreath. The reverse is engraved with the service number „7864“, „SJT W H WILLIAMS“, and „GLOUC. R.“. It is suspended from its original vertically striped red, white, and blue grosgrain ribbon.
