Description
A British First World War 1914-15 Star medal, awarded to SJT W H Williams of the Gloucester Regiment. The medal is crafted from a gold-colored base metal, likely bronze or brass, and features a four-pointed star design. It is overlaid with crossed swords and surmounted by a crown, with a central roundel displaying a banner embossed with «1914-15» and a small «V» at its base, encircled by a laurel wreath. The reverse is engraved with the service number «7864», «SJT W H WILLIAMS», and «GLOUC. R.». It is suspended from its original vertically striped red, white, and blue grosgrain ribbon.
