The work is presented within an ornate, gilded wooden frame, from which it is suspended by chains. A brass plaque affixed to the lower center of the frame identifies the painting as « Interior of Antwerp Cathedral by Pieter Neeffs, » noting its provenance from « The Wernher Collection » and its source from the « English Heritage photo library. » A « Pre-Auction LOT 92 » sticker is present on the lower left corner of the frame.
Condition report:
The painting appears to be in good overall condition, exhibiting vibrant colors and clear details, consistent with an Old Master work. The frame shows typical age-related wear and patina, with minor losses to gilding commensurate with its age. No major damages or significant restorations are immediately apparent.
